Working with Mr. Thompson was a train wreck. On the first meeting he gave bad vibes. He and I spoke shortly on the phone prior to out first appointment and he was professional and responsive, but when we met he couldn’t be more different. Based on our initial talks, he and I both felt I could file a chapter 7. One of the first things we did was run the “consultation fee,” and sign a contract for Chp. 7. After paying, he immediately changed tunes. He then says I have too much income to file a chapter 7. He also goes on to say that if my wife doesn’t join I can only protect 1 vehicle. When we initially spoke, my wife hadn’t decided. When we met he didn’t ask until after I paid and was under contract. He then began being very rude. Casually talking about how valuable my wife and my POV is and how the panel would love to sell it (like we can do without our vehicles). Several times he raised his voice at me to sit down immediately before and after I presented documents. He was very weird and rude. He would ask me a question and dismiss my response until he realizes I answered. For instance. He asked me several times, what legal structure is my Non profit, I told and attempted to present him with the IRS letter showing it was a 501(c)3. I told him repeatedly, and ultimately said I don’t know how to answer your question. He asked me about 5 times is it an LLC. I said no. But I also have an LLC with a similar name. He struggled to distinguish between the two. He asked for lots of documents and I got him most of it. Went through 2 cartridges cause you can’t google share with him. Fine, but I told him I didn’t want to pay my balance off until we were ready to file. At first he said okay, but them became hostile. I shrugged it off and said to myself can’t be mad for him wanting it all up front, but his attitude was bad and didn’t feel comfortable. Said to myself he can’t blame me for wanting it all buttoned up before I paid in full. Next meeting comes and we seem ready to file, but I didn’t want to forget anything so I mentioned a fee accounts: business insurance, a storage unit I still pay on. He mentioned okay. We can have them added. He says give me a name. I said alright, I have it here. Began to look for the info and he wouldn’t give me time to look at it. He then said for me to email it to him. I said, just give me a minute. He then got very rude and said he didn’t have time cause he has another client coming. I said to him at our last meeting i waited in the lobby 30 mins past our appointment. You can give me a few mins. He then got irate. Told me to get over it. He’s busy. I yelled back at him and he cussed me out. I sat there thinking, my lawyer that I paid a fee for, just cussed me out. Said I can go home and think about if we will proceed. I was just like he’ll no. I am so glad that this didn’t work. He was the worst. I’ve served in the military before and I’ve put up with a lot of stuff, but this takes the cake. He wrote me a check to refund his so called consultation fee. I found a great lawyer and advocate elsewhere. Mr. Thompson was by far the most cold, rude, and unprofessional man I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting.
I’m very satisfied with Wesley Ray Thompson on how everything went. Very professional and very thorough.
