James C. Smith, Attorney At Law, based in Middletown, Ohio, has received significant criticism from clients regarding his legal representation. Reviewers express dissatisfaction with his lack of communication, failure to file necessary paperwork, and inadequate support in critical cases, leading to unfavorable outcomes. Overall, many clients feel that their experiences have been frustrating and that they would recommend seeking alternative legal counsel for better results.
NO!!! Did a Terrible job representing my fiance in 2008, divorce case after 21 years of marriage. He seemed to do nothing to get facts supporting her and refused documents that she worked to provide. Finally, with no time left, the judge approved spousal support of $1 / Month for TEN Years!!! Healso did NOT explain QDRO Retirement information and she lost half of $150,000, thanks to his destructive representation! Also, her teen children suffered from their father’s desertion. She Appealed Immediately, with a listening Attorney , to get a Fair and Honest spousal support decision, Her Spouse SETTLED for $600/month!! Due to James Smith POOR Counsel, she lost ALL of her 21 Marriage Retirement Savings portion of near 75,000
He took my brother’s money and never filed anything! Terrible!!
Throughout the 7 months that James C Smith has been representing my fiancé, he has accomplished nothing favorable. From forgetting to file our paperwork, or reportedly the courts did, causing the case involving the custody of my soon to be daughter to be delayed by months possibly, to not knowing basic details of our case on the day of pre-trial, to being outright disrespectful and hostile to me, I would HIGHLY recommend taking your money elsewhere. We have not seen our daughter in 7 months and I believe it is directly correlated with how uninterested this man is in helping our case. Perhaps he is overwhelmed with other work but I feel it is unacceptable. Nothing has been accomplished in our favor, and it has been annoying to work with him the entire time, the very few times he even spoke with us in the last 7 months. We will be looking for new legal council that cares more about how important it is to get visitations rights as soon as possible.
