Ms. Conyers may be among the most unethical, two-faced people I have interacted with in years. On the one hand, she said on 10/11/2019 that she would not be able to get involved in this parenting case given that she knew both parties as friends—that she would refer me out for “official representation.” Yet, on the other hand, she was more than happy to coach Jennifer Berens privately since then on what to file, how to say things, while at the same time still inviting my children and me to her child’s birthday party and texting with me afterwards. This kind of behavior is unethical; no circumstances changed and yet, she was happy to work for the mother in this case for free while telling me something contradictory. During this same timeframe, Ms. Conyers served as the president of the organization for one of my children’s cheerleading extracurricular activities. I messaged her and the coaches to buy a separate cheerleading uniform since their mother would not exchange her uniform back and forth. I simply asked that I receive the uniform if I paid for. Instead, Ms. Conyers then falsely claims in a document filed in court that I was insisting that she personally provide me with the uniform directly, trying somehow to make me look bad in court with my simple request that I receive what I pay for from any of the coaches. Our email communications show that I was only asking that I receive the uniform from one of the coaches if I pay for it instead of the second uniform going to the children’s mother, thus creating the same problem of me being unable to take my child to extracurricular activities because their mother won’t send necessary participation items back-and-forth. Given all this duplicitous and unethical behavior, I have since requested that she never contact me again since she had been doing so, hypocritically acting as if we were friends. After all that, she sent my request to the guardian ad litem in this case and mother’s current attorney to try to use my request for no further contact against me.
I had a good experience working with this firm. They helped me resolve my custody dispute favorably and they were genuinely interested in protecting my relationship with my son.
The lawyers are especially helpful and great advisors to the MHS Mock Trial team.
