I have not retained the services of Slater & Zurz LLP, however, I did call to schedule a free consultation. I left a message and waited for them to call. I was experiencing a traumatic situation and needed legal advice. I received a voicemail from Margarie and returned her phone call. When I told her my name the first words out of her mouth where ” (Justine you need to really check your messages. We’ve called you twice trying to contact you.” Well that’s why I was calling them back! The tone in her voice and choice of words to say that to me was disheartening. Those are the first words she chose to say out of her mouth greeting a potential new client??? Just wow. I informed her over the phone that her demeanor and way of speaking to me has driven me to seek another Lawyer. I will not be retaining thier services as Margarie came off as rude and she just gave me a bad first impression. To me a lawyer’s as good as thier staff/team is. If they’re like Margarie then I’ll go somewhere else.
Margie is courteous, very helpful and it continues to be my pleasure working with her.
