I filed Chapter 13 in June of 2024. I started making payments June 30, 2024 in the amount of $854.00. I got diagnosed with a chronic illness and have been hospitalized several times from August 2024-present. I have paid on my account but did get behind. I worked out a payment plan to catch it up. I paid what I could. Before yesterday I have contacted my paralegal Robin once a week for 3 weeks and never got a call back or message. Fast forward to yesterday. I get a notification from GM Financial that holds my car loan. They told me that my bankruptcy has been dismissed and I never even got a notification from my lawyer office. The whole time I have been paying this bankruptcy, almost $6000.00 in that GM Financial has only received one payment back in August of 24 in the amount of $860.00. So my question is where did my money go? My car is now out for repossession. Don’t use this company. They take your money and don’t pay your debts.
I was concerned about the whole process but it was made easier and less stressful with the help of Merita Blakeney. She answered all questions and concerns I had in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend this office.
