I would encourage you to not use this law firm for your real estate closings. I’m an attorney and they wouldn’t extend a professional courtesy to me so I’m sure they won’t to you reading this either. They have a policy to not wire sale proceeds from closings and to instead use checks. They think issuing quarter million dollar checks is safer than confirming wiring instructions. They also don’t tell you this until the closing is about to happen. In 2023 there are a lot of digital banks with no physical locations to deposit checks, and large checks that exceed mobile deposit limits can cause problems for sellers. This law firm is happy to accept wires from buyers however!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Carteret County.
