She is willing to cover my ex husbands case when he has abused me for years, I am terrified of him ever getting custody of my child and she takes his case? Pathetic. I am seeking legal representation as my exhusband harassed me in court for almost 6 years and then used a false DSS report to obtain primary custody of my children (I have evidence he lied in the DSS report). He was trying to get full Custody but the court would not allow that. He has only 1% more custody then me and was able to take my children 2,100 miles away from me (from North Carolina to Arizona). My exhusband then began accusing me of being a spy on his household and refused to allow me normal phone contact with my children out of fear that my children would give me too much information. I was told in an email by him that my phone calls with them would be limited, monitored, and possibly recorded by him. I had to call them at their school from 2,100 miles away. He has had them for over 7 years now and has turned them against me. His name is a Raymond Mathew Ryan and he now lives in Oklahoma City (1,300 miles away from me) with my kids. I have contacted child protective services and they have sent police to his house and he tells the police that I have been deemed mentally incompetent and I have the police reports to show that. He sent me an email bragging that whenever police come to his house regarding my children, he lets them know I am deemed mentally incompetent and they quickly complete their business. I have never been deemed mentally incompetent, yet he is able to convince them that I am with no documentation of me being deemed mentally incompetent. I have the police reports to prove his defamation of character which is another way he can be sued. He used lies to deter police investigation…this man is corrupt and he has my children…still. This lawyer said she could not not help me sue for my civil rights being violated. I have rights as a mother and the court system has allowed my exhusband to violate my rights for over 7 years now. One of these days I will find a lawyer who knows how to represent someone who is the victim of severe injustice. This firm can’t handle a case that truly deserves justice. I paid Mergit $100 for a consultation and her advice to me before leaving was to talk to the magistrate downtown, which I did immediately after leaving her office. The magistrate told me that he only takes criminal cases and mine is not the kind of criminal case he can take. This was just another dead end in my search for a lawyer who can get me justice.
