The level of professionalism, attentiveness, and gracious commitment that attorney Washington showed to me while working hard on my case has been absolutely incredible. Her staff members were very supportive and helpful during the time that I needed it most. Their communication and patience was very helpful. All updates I needed to feel confident in my case was provided in a well advanced time and in a way that would allow me to educate myself on my case and its improvement. This has given me the relief I was looking for.
I am compelled to write this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Lila Washington, the family law attorney I sought help from during a custody battle. Despite being sued for custody after filing for child support, I believed Ms. Washington’s expertise would ensure a fair resolution. However, my experience has proven to be a continuous problem!
I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I requested legal help for child support issues back in April because I knew I was losing my job July 1st. I paid $1200 upfront and didn’t hear back from firm for over month when they notified me my court date was the beginning of august. They also requested for more pay stubs and bank statements. I didn’t hear from them any more until days before the court date in which I demanded a response or plan on what to expect at court. At that point attorney Washington called me upset and finally explained minimal steps her staff had taken for my case. Moving forward I had to ask for a continuance due to my ex not providing her finance info In a timely manner. Case moved to end of September. Three days before…yet again, I was contacted by the firm late in an effort to get me to pay $900 more dollars before they could move forward. (Case 3 days away) long story short I paid it. The next day I was notified I’d only save $40 a month on Chisup so I asked for a dismissal. Cost me $2000 and 5 months just to get her to review both our bank statements and do a simple worksheet to tell me I’m basically paying the same thing. I was proactive and contacted her in April! Three months before being laid off and this was the service I received
