Had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Was met with a younger man who rudely snapped at us with a greeting of “you are 15 minutes early sit down there”. Should’ve gone with my gut instinct and left immediately proceeded to have an appointment with Kevin where we went over the estate planning, which is a complicated scenario. We asked about retention and he said he will send the paperwork. We paid him his $400 and sent him an email confirming our desire to retain them. In the morning we received a reply email stating that sorry, he was too busy to take on our case (but thanks for the $400 “consultation fee” and good luck. I would’ve expected if he knew he was too busy to take the case on, he should not have taken our consultation appointment and subsequent $400 and lied to us when he said, he was going to send the retention paperwork knowing full well he was not going to take the case. Worse than this, he also was extremely unprofessional and slanderous and accusatory in his email, without knowing all the pieces we already have in place. He was absolutely rude the entire “consultation” and I would not recommend this person at all for things as sensitive as elder care and estate planning.
