My family had retained Mr.Bettan for a family members criminal case. My family had trouble communicating because of their lack of ability to speak English. They asked me for a favor to help translate in which I had no problem. I currently work for another law firm and Mr.Bettan had the impression that I was a lawyer in which no one ever said that. Once I started translating he was getting annoyed of the amount of question my family had which makes no sense because he was already on retainer. He then asked me, who are you since there was never a formal introduction. Once I explained who I was Mr.Bettan got angry and started yelling because he believed that I was another attorney on the phone. Mr.Bettan misunderstood me for an attorney when I was trying to explain that I was a family member of his client and they asked me to help translate since this is one of my tasks in my day to day job. Mr.Bettan got angry and just kept yelling BYE BYE BYE, I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT, BYE BYE BYE. Mr.Bettan obviously felt threaten and bothered, but to treat clients who have paid thousands is just unacceptable. All of this could’ve been avoided if he just would’ve listened. Mr.Bettan just feels entitled and is very unprofessional. Please do Better.
Be very careful of this lawyer. Makes promises that he can’t keep. Most of these reviews are fake. Has a history of professional misconduct. Avoid at all costs.
I was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and obstructing the breathing of a former girlfriend. The charges were bogus and I hired Mr.Bettan an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney. Mr. Bettan felt that the District Attorney could not prove this case. We pushed for a dismissal of the charges. When she failed to show up in court Mr. Bettan got the charges dismissed. He did an amazing job and I highly recommend his services.
