Joel misrepresented what I would owe him for his services. Quoting me at $3000 and then raising it to over $10k after the conclusion of the case. He was aware that I was in workers comp and had limited income when he agreed to represent me. He then shared with opposing counsel that I was having financial difficulties and then he had me sign something that I thought only lasted for a year but have since round out is permanent. He sends multiple emails a month about a bill that Is not what we agreed to and then went so far as to call my father and deny it when confronted. When he was told my father was currently dying in the hospital and to please contact me by mail only he said “Send it to me in a letter.” My dad was dying, I didn’t have time to do that. He doesn’t care. Avoid this man at all costs, he is a terrible lawyer and a worse man.
