A horrible experience for me. Having gone through the initial shock of a cheating unstable husband, working with McDonough was dreadful. She told me flat out on my first visit ” plain and simply, you’ve been replaced….” not contructive or helpful . Had she been a fighter, it may have been tolerable. She was not aggressive for me. The only push back on the offered settlement came from me. She folded under a moderate settlement which I see now 7 years later had many holes in it. When you rely on your attorney to ensure you receive support and see u through the tough time you are experiencing, she is not the one. She did the minimal.
I would not recommend. Fee more than doubled from original estimate, even after paying for mediation as recommended. Not proactive at all, poor communication. Paid for time in court when we knew there had been no progress. Passed my case on to a younger member of the firm. Frustrating and disappointing. did get final contract terms right.
