My ex-wife employed Ms. Mainenti-Walsh’s service during our divorce and I was initially comforted by the fact that my ex would be represented by the daughter of my high school gym teacher who was an inspiration to me at school and at our church. My opinion changed rather quickly as I was shocked by how far the apple fell from the tree. She drew out the divorce proceedings and spoke to the darker side of what is an already difficult matter- bringing out the worse in my wife who wholeheartedly trusted her counsel. Ms. Walsh’s tactics were never cordial and always confrontational. Ms. Walsh left the issue of child visitation to the very end, holding my time with my children captive until finances were settled first and foremost. Did she really need to say that I “never wanted the children in the first place” in front of the judge, cutting straight to my heart? How dare she. If I never hear her name again it would be good for all the heartbreak she left me with and stringing my parenting time along, leaving me know choice but to go bankrupt in my effort to have 2 days a week with my kids and every other weekend. But seeing her advertisement in my church bulletin, listing her as a parishioner and “compassionate” was all I could take. Jesus teaches us not to judge and that isn’t my intent here. I am just providing information and writing an honest review for the benefit of those looking for a lawyer based on my experience. If you want someone who will speak to the darkest demons in your case, to string it along with little care for expenses, and intent on completely demoralizing and bankrupting your opponent, Ms. Mainenti-Walsh fits the bill. But if you believe the profession could use someone who appeals to the better angels, who doesn’t stoop down to the lowest denominator, and works to resolve your matter in as just and amicable manner as possible, look somewhere else.
