As my husband Dan and I were the opposing counsel on a case involving Van Schroeder as the other parties attorney this man is beyond INCOMPETENT and will screw up anything he drafts and or forgets to draft what needs be done in the first place leaving us waiting and waiting for him to get his crap together. He has also been notorious for dragging butt for the duration of our whole case so much so even a Douglas County Judge asked what was taking so long for what was supposed to be a simple child support modification. Now, after he drafted and sent everything over to the courts we get an email from Van to our attorney regarding he screwed up the parenting plan and now we are having to withdraw the plan and have it redone CORRECTLY this time, which in turn is going to cost us even more money for his negligence. We have more that he has screwed up on or did incorrectly but there’s too much to be able to remember them all! This attorney needs to RETIRE!!!
Some years ago, I contacted this office for legal assistance. I submitted a retainer and received nothing in return and ended up with a Public Defender. It was a rough time and again, no help! I am hoping this was a one off!
