This may seem odd writing a review about my experience dating back approximately 24 years ago with the services/help from Mr. Keegan. It was the winter of 1996 when my daughter just turned 18. She was living in Hibbing living with her mother when she got into trouble with a very serious crime committed by her then boyfriend. She did not commit this offense but was charged with the crime by association. I (dad) got a call from my ex wife telling me my daughter was in some major trouble. I rushed to Hibbing the next morning to speak with Law Enforcement and try to make some sense of what I refused to believe. My daughter had never been in any trouble prior to this. When I was informed of the charges I immediately knew I needed a lawyer. I have a few Lawyer buddies back here and they steered me to Mr. Keegan. This case ended up being a pretty high profile situation. The States Attorney was very rigid to say the least. At the time there was alot of young juveniles creating trouble for themselves including the Prosecuting Attorney’s daughter as well that so happened to be my daughter’s friend. It appeared he was making an example out of my daughter. This is when Mr. Keegan took control and managed to work this all out with only a light sentence for my daughter. All seemed well and we can get back to our normal lives. Then sh#t hit the fan! And of coarse my first call was to Mr. Keegan. He jumped back in shaking his head and was ready for the fight that seemed to last an eternity. Also I’d like to mentioned that the Law students which I believe were out of Duluth were also following this case. Most of our hearings had a full court room. The new charges we were facing carried a long incarnation sentence and it appeared the Judge and Prosecuting Attorney would not budge from the state guidelines. Without the determination of Mr. Keegan our lives would have been a shambles and of course dad with a broken . There is so much more to this story with all the events in between but I will stop here. I have not seen or spoke to Mr. Keegan in the last 20 some years but was just sitting here reflecting on the past and this memory came up. With all this said obviously you all should know that I will highly recommend Mr. Keegan and if you do see this David I want to say thank you very very much.
