Terrible phone etiquette and service.
I had custody matter and I needed a lawyer by 4:30 on Friday back then all I had was the yellow pages. I immediately saw Attorney Beverly’s name and I called and explained my situation and that I needed file an appeal by 4:30. Without seeing me that day she told me that she was going to file the appeal and to see her Monday to sign my retainer . She called me that same day around 5 and told that she filed that appeal. That was trust on both our parts she help to keep custody of my daughter she work on my case and listen to everything she told to do. That was over 30 years ago I highly recommend Attorney Beverly she knows and cares about her clients I thank her to this day and Allah for guiding that Friday afternoon. Today daughter my daughter is a college graduate and talented artist all because of help from Attorney Beverly.
Based off of a short interaction I will tell you not to waste your time. I was excited at the prospect of having an African-American female attorney. However after reaching out to multiple firms this was the most unprofessional. And also the least informative, she made assumption based off of information I told her and made no attempt to fact check before giving me advice to essentially show up to a court date with no representation. But she made sure that I knew her fees though she did not have all the particulars of the case that was looking to have represented. Another law office offered to go to the courthouse and get additional documentation so they could know if they could help, and what the cost would actually be, when I mention this to her she basically hung up on me. Don’t waste your time.
