I took the time to write this as accurately as possible because I wanted to be fair about all aspects of my legal experience with John Bokenfohr of this firm. John managed my family court custody matter from November of 2021 until its conclusion in April of 2024. He was extremely sensitive to my situation both financially as well as empathetically and I still choose to believe that he represented me as best as he was able to within both his professional and personal capabilities. However, the matter did not conclude as we originally believed it would and I do acknowledge that John was not the best choice for a legal matter as hostile as mine. While I had compiled and brought forward almost one hundred pieces of evidence, John chose less than 15 total and consistently seemed to be “reacting” more to the opposing counsel instead of being aggressive with specific regards to legal motions as well as tactics. I gathered over time from his good nature and wonderful soul that this was just not the type of case in which he thrives. John may be quite different in other cases however I can only testify to my own time with him and given the choice, I wish I would have made a different decision for someone with more aggression in personality. I have now lost my children as a result of my choices of staying with John and I will have to live with that, but I still choose to believe that he did his best given his personality. For my review, I am thankful to him and his paralegal for their dedication but most of all their understanding. I believe for less hostile civil family matters John is probably an excellent choice, however I would not recommend him specifically if you believe your case will go to trial and you need someone who’s more aggressive than passive. Please do not let my review discourage you from reaching out to him however so you may judge for yourself. I have done my best to stay neutral and factual with this review of my time with John.
Called to ask a couple of questions and left a message. It was probably about 10 or 15 minutes later and Robin called back. She answered my questions and was very professional. I will do business with this law firm in the future.
