IF YOU WANT AN ATTORNEY WHO REFUSES TO RETURN CALLS OR EMAILS OR PAY MONEY THAT IS RIGHTFULLY OWED TO YOU THEN JAMEY SHIELDS IS YOUR GUY. My ex husband hired him and when he received a questionably small settlement, back child support owed to me was withheld. The case was settled in December of 2022 and Jamey will not pay me the back child support that is owed and it has been over 6 months. He refuses to return my calls or return calls from Louisiana Child Support Enforcement. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED! It’s a shame NO STARS wasn’t an option.
I contracted Mr. Shields in 2004 to handle a matter for me involving false charges against me. Imagine my horror in 2021 learning that, not only was the situation not handled, but I had charges on my record! It cost me 2500 dollars for a real attorney to handle the matter and have it dismissed. Mr. Shield, when confronted with his lies & dishonesty, then proceeded to attempt to malign my character. He sent me a letter claiming that I had never hired him to represent me, refused to pay my new attorney’s fees and seemed to think I should let the matter drop. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking legal help.
