David L. White – Estate Planning, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury & Divorce Attorney

My girlfriend at the time who was a single mother, worked two jobs as a nurse and was in school full-time to become a nurse practitioner had an awful experience with David White. Not only was he not professional when we went to court, he couldn’t remember any details about her case and even called her by the wrong name, her ex-husband‘s name Who was the defendant in the case. His performance in court was poor to say the least, he couldn’t convey our case to the judge. My fiancé had to step in and negotiate the case herself, which was a child support case. Then, when Mr. White found out that her ex-husband had filed bankruptcy after the court had ordered for the ex-husband to pay court cost and Lawyer’s fees, Mr. White proceeded to try to get more money out of my girlfriend who had already paid him $6000. She had to borrow that from family members and from me. When she questioned Mr. White about the extra money, he got very nasty and unprofessional, then sent her an email threatening to charge her with criminal extortion for requesting a Louisiana Bar Association fee dispute hearing which is listed on his own fee agreement as a resolution. Of course with her not knowing anything about the law and luckily with me growing up with lawyers in my family and being trained in the law, I was able to comfort her because she was crying, thinking she was going to be charged with a felony. I had to explain to her that she couldn’t be charged with a felony because she had literally just ask for what it stated on his fee agreement. He proceeded to sue her while he was still representing her as his client. He was literally still the attorney of record and filed a lawsuit against his own client. Not only is David White, unprofessional, unethical, and a poor Lawyer, but he lacks professional conduct and his actions against a single mother working two jobs in school full-time who is also a first responder were not just lacking empathy but were borderline criminal and in most other States would have gotten him disbarred. So I tell you as someone who has been dealing with lawyers, most of my life that he is the absolute worst lawyer in the countless lawyers I’ve dealt with and do not waste your money or your time with this man!
