I’m so grateful to have been referred to Shepherd Elder Law Group! I had spent months trying to understand my elderly and disabled parents’ legal needs, but was spinning my wheels. Though as a retired professor with expertise in disability I’m very capable of research, I didn’t even know what questions to ask during a consult with Sam. But she quickly had a bead on it, and ultimately she and Alec took care of everything from alternative decision-making documents, wills, long-term planning including Medicaid applications, advising on prepaid funeral arrangements and much more. Sam is a very skilled and empathetic communicator who put my parents’ minds at ease and covered all of our family’s needs. Their fees are reasonable and the reduction in our stress and uncertainty alone was a great return on investment.
