Giving Jacob VanCleef a rating of 1 star is way too nice. My experience with his service for my son’s case, was seeing how he operates first hand. I sat in on several consulting sessions where he was supposed to to going over the case and prepping my son for his case. First hand not prepared, would start off on the case subject, and wonder off into discussion about videos games, hunting and other random stuff of his interest, for sometime. Then finally after awhile back to the case: One comment he made while he and my son were discussing the case that has made me question as to why he is even a Lawyer representing people, especially those with children. His comment to my son, and I quote: “ Children are to be seen, Not heard.” Well to me personally that is not what any person, mind you and attorney should be saying about our children. Our children have voices & they need to be heard, That is what we teach our children to voice there words. So for an attorney such as Jacob VanCleef to vocalize such a comment that Children need to be seen, Not heard, that there shows his true character of children. So as for a review & recommendation I would seek elsewhere for representation on any case dealing with children. His lack of organization, communication and charges of paperwork that was handed to him & he didn’t have to seek out to get, as well as consultation on your case but he got off topic about the case and talked about his extra curricular activities and you get charged for. So if this is someone you seek out to represent you, know how he truly feels about children’s voice & that your case will not get the best representation & you will get charged for his conversation of his extra curricular events. As for this review it is meant exactly for a review about services provided by Jacob VanCleef. Which is not in any violation of any law, it is stating our experiences with Jacob VanCleef, the services he states he provided, but lacked in providing professional service. Our children are to BE BOTH SEEN & HEARD and No attorney should ever make a comment as such. So choose wisely on who you want representing you in any court case dealing with children!
I had a very disappointing experience with Jacob Van Cleaf. He failed to respond to multiple emails and phone calls, filed incorrect paperwork, and missed critical deadlines, which caused delays and unnecessary stress. On top of that, I was charged for the mistakes they made, and I still don’t have the final paperwork for my case. Despite my efforts to resolve these issues, there was no acknowledgment or attempt to make things right. I cannot recommend this attorney to anyone seeking competent and professional legal representation.
Been truly helpful and truly patient with me on my case I’m grateful to have them representing me. I would recommend them if you have a ongoing situation that needs to be taken care of.
