Do not hire this firm! I hired Sarah Benson in Feb.of 2025 and paid her a $2,200 retainer fee, in full, to help me with a very serious case. She met with me for the initial consultation and then canceled our second appointment, and since that time, has not returned phone calls, emails and upon visiting her office on numerous occasions it is always closed. I have even reached out to her assistant several times, with no response. She took my hard earned money and has performed absolutely no services for me. So disheartening! On May 2nd I filed an official complaint with the Iowa Attorney Disciplinary Board and they are completing an official investigation in hopes of reprimanding her for her continual unethical behavior and to get my $2200 back. How sad that I trusted her to help me, and in turn, she caused me great stress. I definitely suggest that you do not hire this practice.
How do you get a hold of Sara Benson? I have left emails, voicemail and called numerous times. I was directed by her secretary to submit a payment through their website I did. No services ever happened couldn’t get an appointment a call back, email nothing. I had to get another attorney to help with my issue. I explained to the new attorney the issue she then spoke to Sara or her office and was told they would forward the payment. NEVER HAPPENED! I just want a call back or something to resolve this issue.
Sara does not respond to any form of communication, the phone is rarely answered, you can tell they don’t go through the mail they receive as there’s a 3ish for stack next to the receptionist desk and she doesn’t actually care if you get your family back. She just goes through the motions. Fantastic!
