The only reason this lady is getting a star is so I can leave this review. Completely not impressed. The only time I spoke to Lisa was the consultation. Any time after that we got the para legal Dawn. I explained my situation in detail and respectfully asked if she (Lisa) could provide us with the out come we hoped for. She assured us she could handle the case so then we proceeded. Lisa and her paralegal Dawn assured us they knew what they were doing. Almost immediately we had a huge miscommunication with instructions on finger printing. We couldn’t get Lisa on the phone so we dealt with Dawn whom acted completely clueless the entire time. We were billed over $300 just for text messages and phone calls due to these two not knowing how to direct us on doing this even though they repeatedly said “we’ve done this several times”. After several days my husband and I figured it out ourselves. Dawn would repeatedly tells us they got it we didn’t have to do anything then turn around and say almost in the same exact sentence “you should go do this yourselves so that it doesn’t cost you”. Dawn then suggested we do a deposition of the non custodial parent and told us “it’ll only cost you about $400” so we agreed. Dawn asked us to provide questions we would like the non custodial parent to be asked during this deposition in which we provided 50 questions. Maybe 3 questions out of those 50 were asked during the roughly 1 1/2 hour deposition. Lisa did the interview and she spent the entire time relating to the non custodial parent about their history with drugs and addiction and almost proudly gloating about it. As if that wasn’t frustrating enough we then got an invoice. Lisa charged us $993 for that poor excuse of a deposition, not even including a separate invoice that was sent to us a couple days later for the same deposition totally $476. So not only did they drop the ball on the deposition, they flat out lied about the cost and billed us well over a grand. When we called to confront Lisa about the charge for the miscommunication on their part we got dawn on the phone yet again. When we questioned her about the continued confusion on the finger printing process she began to raise her voice over mine threatening to drop our case if we continued to disrespect her. She yelled over us when we tried to speak demanding that we seek council else where if we didn’t like it. The nerve to speak to clients that way who are only trying to do a simple adoption so that their child can share their last name in peace. A week after that Dawn gave us a date for a pre trial that we discovered was another lie. They never scheduled a pre trial. Mind you at this point we have paid these people a little over $3,500 already and we haven’t even gotten a pre trial. So they’re fired. Do not go to this poor excuse for a law firm. They’re complete snakes waiting to suck your bank account dry and lie their way through it. The only thing they were respectful about was the termination. We still haven’t received any of our case documents but they sure did not waste any time sending us one last bill for $800. Zero stars. Money hungry scumbags and they stand on that.
