Mays Law Office, LLC
Mays Law Office, LLC, located in Quincy, Illinois, is a law firm that has garnered mixed reviews from clients. While some clients have expressed dissatisfaction with communication and service, others have praised Andrew Mays for his attentive approach and commitment to helping families navigate complex legal issues, particularly regarding special needs. Overall, those who had positive experiences highlighted his willingness to listen and fight for their needs, making him a recommended choice for certain legal matters.
Mr. Mays doesn’t keep in contact with his clients. Or is it just the pro bono cases. He was called by a questionable judge to be my appointed attorney. Not once did he present any evidence, that was given to him. He had files that agencies admitted to coaching and retaliating that cause the mess that brought him up on my case. Not once did he attempt to bring it into court. I asked for things to be appealed, he refused by promising to present a sufficient case, which he did not. His answer for obtaining this information and not present it. ‘The transcript provided knowledge of the intricacies of my case, and I was ready to attack if the states witness changed their story.’ like as my attorney, he played the role of law enforcement, and not an attorney. The one thing he did do, is give me a good reason to appeal, for insufficient defense, which the appellate attorney has filed. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, and Mays should refrain from pro bono work.
Mr. Mays was consistently slow in returning phone calls. He charged exorbitant rates for his services while the executor of the estate did 90% of the actual work on the case. His accounting initially missed a $2,000 payment to him. He finally did the last work on the case after being “virtually” screamed at by the executor. Why are Quincy officials referring bereaved families to him? That deepens the pain of these families.
Very good service! Seems they will fight for you! Andrew mays is a good man’
