this is U.S. Navy Veteran Michael Simmons, Ms.Emily Brenner is hands down the best lawyer I have ever seen , this is the most genuine Lawyer I have ever met , this lady is going to bat for me! because she genuinely cares ! I hired and came across Ms. Brenner to represent me through a third party company called Marble, which is also terrible, and a custody hearing regarding my daughter from a previous relationship to re work out parenting plan. This was dragged out for almost 2 years. There was zero concern for my daughter’s safety and mental health. The end result was I lost custody and she went to go live with her mother and on recorded court, I stated my concern and remarks and they were shot down by Ms. Brenner was saying she understands how hard it was but her “hands were tied” 13 years of me having custody just taken from me. She was never available to speak with me. It was like trying to get the president on the phone. Impossible. Then at the height of things, she was on vacation. Cost me thousands of dollars for this lady. My daughter has attempted suicide, fighting in school, and has taken a turn since her mother having custody. All the things I predicted and stated.Very scary that I felt barely represented, and wasn’t cared for as a client or concerned for my family. I was owed 5-6 years of back child support from mother, and now I’m put on child support that I can not afford. It’s crazy work. Zero stars, do not recommend. Now we have a well connected lawyer in the family, and I have gotten the full scoop on Ms. Brenners career. Shes more concerned about her TV appearances than her clients. Absolutely ridiculous. At the end of the day the mother and I still didn’t get what we wanted and we agreed we spent too much money for nothing really. Find a lawyer that actually cares about there job and clients.
This woman is a piece of work. My fiancee employed Ms Brenner, to legitimize our son, in 2021. She was awful about returning calls, then, and finally she called and said the matter was finalized and our son was legitimized. It cost my fiancee $2,000, to be told this lie. Because almost a year later, I felt the need to consult another attorney to work out child support. Halfway through that meeting, the attorney, who was consulting me, stopped dead in his tacks, and told me to not go any further, as there was still a case for legitimization, open! When we called Emily, she took several weeks to call us back. And when she did, she asked for ANOTHER $800, saying that the filing fees were never paid. And because we’re trusting, we paid up. AND HERE WE ARE, OVER TWO YEARS LATER! What did i receive in the mail over the weekend? A calendar call, from the Henry County Superior Court, addressing the matter of the case to legitimize our son! After trying to call her many times, only to be hung up on by some man, I called the court house. Turns out, NOPE! No finalized decision on the legitimacy of our son! So, had I not received this letter, and something were to happen to me, my fiancee would have ZERO CLAIM to our 5 year old son! EMILY, DO YOU KNOW HOW TERRIFYING THAT IS?!??
