Collett is very capable. In fact, she was selected by her peers to be a leader in the Elder Law organizations. I know Collett as an organized leader, knowledgeable in Elder Law, with true empathy and smarts. Everything you want in an Elder Law Attorney.
A retainer fee was paid after meeting. The attorney showed knowledge of the matter, so there was every expectation for good service. But, communication from the firm after that initial meeting went downhill. Also, potential clients must make sure they review the contract from this firm VERY carefully before signing. It primarily specifies the flat attorney fees, additional fees based on hourly rate, their expenses, and their right to withdraw if fees are not paid in a timely manner. But,there was absolutely no mention in this agreement of any work that would be done for me as a client. Clients need to know in writing exactly what law firms intend to do on their behalf before signing any attorney fee contract.
