Definitely look for other options. He processed my mother’s Will, and later compromised her wishes by advising a beneficiary to usurp her appointed Executor, clearly violating his profession’s ethical responsibility. He has zero integrity!
I worked with Mr. Brittingham for a little over a year to settle my mothers estate. Shortly after my mother passed away one of my family members involved their attorney who turned out to be a close personal friend. This attorney provided misinformation about the estate process and created distrust between the parties involved. As interactions became more contentious I realized I needed to seek my own council. I did some research on attorney firms in the area and contacted Schmittinger and Rodriguez. I scheduled an appointment and was advised Mr. Brittingham was the attorney I would be meeting with. During my appointment with him we reviewed and discussed all the particulars of what had occurred up until that point. Mr. Brittingham offered his assistance and was able to get the estate settlement moving forward again so it could finally be resolved. I am truly thankful for his help. It’s hard enough losing a loved one and trying to process your grief while managing the deceased affairs without having a legal dispute. Working with Mr. Brittingham I found him to be very knowledgeable, direct, responsive and understanding. If you need an attorney that will help you to get an amicable settlement I would definitely recommend him.
Don’t call this man unless you want all the estate $ spent and your family torn apart. Find an attorney who cares what happens past your estate settling, one who won’t do more damage than good. $ isn’t everything.
