We hired Jon to handle the closing of our late mother’s home. He was recommended by our realtor. It was one of the biggest mistakes we made. We ended up being sued by the mortgage company because they never received the funds to pay off the mortgage. They began foreclosure proceedings on the new owner and Jon couldn’t tell me what happened. Apparently the mortgage company had been contacting him via the court system asking for confirmation of payoff since closing and he ignored them. I assumed it was taken care of. Over SIX months later I find out $370,000 is missing, that my family is being SUED, and Jon has ZERO explanation….which led us to believe he was complicit in some kind of fraud. I was never able to prove it, but please be careful and steer clear of this attorney. We have started the process to file formal complaints with the state. In the end, the buyer’s title insurance company had to pay off the mortgage to release the lien and somebody out there is $370K richer.
This guy is awful. Can’t give a straight answer to save his life, will just repeat himself. Find someone else.
Me and my husband used this lawyer 10 months ago thinking he would help us with our eviction problem but what he did was play with our confidence and do absolutely nothing. Very bad experience with him. I do not recommend. Too bad he is still in business. Even the staff including secretary and so on were just bad in general and not helpful. 0/10
