There’s nothing quite like Jacob’s Beach. The Parks and Rec Dept. keep this beach in fantastic shape. Everything is well manicured and there are walkways available for the disabled, last year there seemed to be a metal mesh mat placed on the sand on which you could get to the water. They offer a children’s playground, an area on which one can place a stage, an area under a covered structure for the public to hold gatherings. There’s an area that holds canoes and kayaks and a lovely boardwalk to access these areas. On the other side are picnic and game areas. The restrooms are stocked and clean. There’s no boat launch from this beach, the launch pad is right down the street though. It’s a great place to visit, have lunch in the car and take in the views.
