(January 29, 2025) I am almost done with my chapter 13 bankruptcy with Jack. He was very kind and very professional (during the long process of getting the paperwork done). I had a lot of questions and he answered them with a very understanding tone. I hate to say this but I have known Jack through this entire process of three years of my bankruptcy and it will come to an end in July. I am so sad to say goodbye to him and his employees, but I am happy I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. They made this experience very smooth. I know that bankruptcy isn’t a joyful thing to go through, but he made me and my husband feel very comfortable through the entire process. Thanks Jack (and employees) for all your help and effort to make bankruptcy as comfortable as possible (I know it was hard with me and my temper sometimes lol). My dog, Baby thanks you as well. You are like family to us now. Me and Baby will keep bird watching and will always remember you. 🙂
Absolutely worst experience with McLaughlin! Fraud and theif!!! Was seen in person for a consultation paid $1400 to retain him. After 2 months of missed calls and being unable to return the in person packet because of them never being in, I finally requested payment back to seek alternative council. Upon retrieving my retainer fees back I was met with a $738 check. When questioning Mr. McLaughlin made a comment, “I see your good with your math,” although I had only met in person for a consultation and was given a packet to complete. When asking McLaughin for itemized statement Mr. McLaughlin refused and stated, “Don’t you want people to get paid for their work?” Well absolutely a consultation fee however I’m unaware of consultation fee being $662. To charge for doing absolutely nothing for months and to charge for me for writing a check for my money to be returned . Pathetic!
Our first visit went well on 5/25/2022. The attorney needed to brush up on work comp impairment award money and said he would get back to me. I emailed him back on 6/14/22 with no response. I emailed on 6/24/22 and got a call back saying I would need to come in for a consult as if I were a new prospect. Reached out again 12/9 and got a call from sue mclaughlin who said that they were not allowed to give out legal advice with being retained by them. And that if I needed to do this urgently then I should find another attorney. I had a hard time not laughing as that what consultations are for.
