I had to fire Chris as my legal representation in October, 2023. I initially hired him due to his empathetic approach and communication. It was a bait and switch and I strongly recommend seeking counsel elsewhere. For example, even after clarifying expectations about communication with his paralegal (she said she usually responds in 24 hours), I consistently had to follow up several times for a response, using both email and text. Additionally, I reached out to Chris directly requesting a meeting and being clear about my concerns on a lack of communication and movement with my case, and he never replied. To be clear, I emailed him twice and called and left a voicemail asking directly for him to get back to me…and he never did. I expressed several times to his paralegal that I felt I was project managing my own divorce process and was incredibly disappointed, with no change in behavior. After having to follow up on emails/texts, doing my own research on the divorce process because they weren’t forthcoming with educating me, and wasting thousands of dollars with no solidified strategy or prep for my mediation, I fired him and got amazing counsel elsewhere. Please be diligent – divorce is one of the most stressful things in your life and you don’t need a lawyer adding to that stress.

The lawyer dropped the ball on this one. Thru my child custody case, the mother of my child kept my kid away from me for months at a time without notice of any kind. . I was granted split custody tho everything on paper demonstrated the ability of the other party to be a parent. After many many times of trying to explain to the lawyer my concerns, they and the judges failed. My daughter was was exposed to other drugs including fentyl. 4yrs later , I have Colorado Child Protective Services involved and in June 24th 2023, I will have all parental rights to my daughter. So don’t send me another bill!!!
