Spent 9 months continuing my case, then with 0 forward progress, had the audacity to say we used up all of the retainer and we had to pay up.
Coleen was my court appointed attorney and I was not only disappointed with her services (or lack of) but I was bewildered by her lack of professionalism, the difficulty I had trying to get in touch with her to discuss my case, and how little she seemed to know anything about my case. I picked up the misdemeanor charge on January 19th and finally got it resolved on August 27th. If I had not all but demanded my case be resolved when it was, it would have been once again rescheduled for next month. I had a difficult time getting ahold of coleen and when I would get a ride from Denver to appear in court in Georgetown, she would tell the judge that I was the one who was difficult to get in touch with and not knowing anything about my case would ask for a continuance. When I expressed my feelings about how long it was taking to make any progress in my case and my concern with her lack of knowledge about my case she told me I could ask the judge for a new attorney if I wasn’t satisfied, 7 months after taking my case. She also wanted to take my misdemeanor charge to trial stating she could get the case dismissed in trial which no good attorney would tell a client as anything could happen in trial. Please do not trust your life with this law firm, hire someone else. I wish I could leave negative stars because I would.
Coleen O’Leary is one of the best in the business! She is always quick with any questions I might have, which have been a lot throughout this process. I also have referred friends to Coleen and they’ve had great experiences with her. If you ever need a lawyer, I would definitely call Coleen!
