I had Jerry Garling for my divorce attorney 20 years ago. He did the worst job EVER for me. He literally told me WHY should I work on your case when you can’t pay me anymore money (I paid him a 2500.00 retainer) when I have paying clients I need to work on their cases. I literally wrote his scripts for each court hearing with what answer he should expect. I did ALL the research needed in my case for him. He did NOTHING for me. He let me get so screwed over that 20 years later I am still fighting this battle of survivoral because he was a lousy lousy lousy attorney. I can’t retire because he was so lousy my ex-husband got by with everything. Even when my ex had 2 attorneys withdraw from representing him. Garling, let me get so screwed over. The house I was awarded. Was in foreclosure. I learned 6 days after my final ordering hearing. Just for starters. Don’t ever hire this attorney if you want to be treated fairly. I even had to give him my 5500.00 wedding ring and another diamond dinner ring at the end of my divorce just so he would finish representing me. Knowing my ex, I feel my ex paid off Mr Garling and the judge so I would not get anything in the end. And that’s exactly what happened. I was married 25 years. Now because he was so lousy I only am getting 73.00 a month of my ex’s SS. Trust me I’ve been through the system. I’ve never remarried. This is all so wrong. I was told I should hire and attorney to take Mr Garling to court for lack of proper representation. Don’t ever use this attorney.

Jerry Garling represented me during a painful and contentious divorce that lasted over a year. He was very fair with his time, he always made himself available when something urgent came up, and he was able to handle anything that my ex and his attorney threw at us throughout the process. He met me outside of work hours, when needed, and while he did not have a fancy office like many attorneys out here do, I genuinely believe that he passed the savings from this on to me. I would recommend Jerry to anyone looking for an experienced divorce attorney in Adams County.
