The Office of the District Attorney in Alamosa, Colorado, has received mixed feedback from clients regarding their experiences. While some individuals express gratitude for the assistance they received, others have raised concerns about the handling of cases and the perceived lack of accountability from staff members. Overall, there is a desire for improved communication and transparency within the office to better serve victims and the community.
I had a great experience today…thank you for all your help!!!
I was a victim of a DV and the way that the office for and especially deputy DA Steven Barnet handled my case was unacceptable! First off, he didn’t listen to me or my concerns because he “didn’t have to” speak to me about the case and tried to make it my fault that I “didn’t show up” via webex when his office gave me the number and access code so I was sitting on hold for over an hour and a half waiting to address the court. Second, when we spoke after the hearing, he spinned the conversation to issues I never even brought up as if I wanted some outrageous charge. He truly does not care nor does he hold any accountability for his office dropping the ball for me to speak to the judge. It is people in office like him that is wrong with the justice system! They only care about their trial numbers and getting that promotion to higher office rather than the victim of the cases. Sad excuse for a DA but a typical attorney.
I am interested to see how things are going to be handled?
