Spoke to Laura today. Here is information to help save you time and to make an informed decision. The retainer for a personal injury. The firm does not accept contingency cases. A (PI) case requires a $15K retainer (deposit), the attorneys hourly wage ranges $700-$850, and paralegal rate is charged at $350. When asked if they take a portion of the settlement, initially Laura said yes, but she could NOT disclose the percentage. When I advised her that I had previously worked in a few law firms, then she recanted and stated they would not take a percentage if the retainer was paid upfront. NOTE: Based upon the hourly rate of the attorney and staff, the first and/or second monthly invoice would consume the entire retainer. So, this is yet another firm that will take all you money and you will never receive any form of compensation for your injury unless you top of the retainer… Conclusion: Search for a different a more reputable law firm.
I contacted Randy Catanese upon the recommendation of a friend. I had a sales contract issue and they wanted their purchase price returned after having the horse for over 6 months.
