Stevenson Law Office, located in Sherman Oaks, California, is highly regarded for its exceptional estate planning and elder law services. Clients consistently praise the firm’s professionalism, compassion, and deep understanding of complex legal matters, noting how the team, led by Todd Stevenson, goes above and beyond to ensure their clients feel supported and informed throughout the process. With a strong commitment to fighting for their clients’ rights and achieving favorable outcomes, Stevenson Law Office comes highly recommended for anyone in need of legal assistance in these areas.
I hired Todd Stevenson as my trust attorney and ultimately had to fire him after years of disappointing representation. Todd fought harder for his fees than for my rights as trustee. Despite my 4+ years and over 1,000 hours of work, he negotiated a flat $17,500 trustee fee — and then sought $285,000 in legal fees for himself. When I challenged that imbalance, he refused to reduce more than 15% and eventually filed a motion against me to enforce the full amount after I paid him over 60% of his legal fees.
My parents already had their estate planning documents in place. Rather than working with existing estate planning documents, Todd recommended expensive conservatorship proceedings, won’t file a cross complaint against my parents’ abusers, and steered me away from filing an elder abuse restraining order against the abusers, thus enabling the continued abuse of my parents and giving opposing side an opportunity to revoke my POA, causing me to lose legal standing to file an elder abuse restraining order to stop the abuse. He billed me for works not rendered, and there were duplicate billings. If you are dealing with financial elder abuse, you’d be better off finding an elder abuse attorney to file a restraining order against the abusers to stop the bleeding of your parents’ assets, as well as a motion for an emergency protective order. Apparently Todd didn’t inform me of these options to effectively stop the source of abuse, so litigation was escalated to at least 3 separate cases to milk our family.
I had an excellent experience working with Stevenson Law Office. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.Todd Stevenson and his team took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure I understood all my options at every stage of the process.
