This attorney does not take the time to truly get to know or understand the minor. He judges the child based upon his interactions with the parents. When I pointed out that he wasn’t advocating for my daughter, he took it personal and rather than staying “unbiased” in our case, he has literally been on my daughter’s dad’s side the entire time. It’s as if my ex now has two attorneys. Meanwhile, my poor daughter’s voice is still not heard or believed; which is the entire point of a minor’s counsel. Instead, her mom is being attacked via e-mails and the other forms of court in which men in power take advantage of their positions. Making assumptions in any case, without fully doing the research and getting the facts, is exactly how women and children get logistically oppressed. Shame on this lawyer for letting his ego lead the way. He does not have children and doesn’t know how to handle a highly intelligent minor; this causes him to engage in stereotypical assumptions about the child and the case. He also judges moms from the lower economic bracket and has no bandwidth for understanding what poor people are subjected to in the family court system. He is a wealthy white man completely out of touch with the realities of single mothers dealing with domestic violence and post-separation abuse. DO NOT go to him if you want someone who can look beyond the surface. He is not capable.
