This office is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. We totally trust them with finances of our residents who have retained this office to handle their financial matters. If you ever needed a financial conservator to handle your money, I would recommend the Office of Lisa J. Berg 100%. You will be very satisfied with their services. The office staff are all knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I have to say that the Staff is very friendly. However, after 6 months of dealing with their “understanding” and “friendly” demeanor, I beginning to believe they are only in it for what they can get from your case. I was told at the beginning that the person’s insurance cap was $50,000. I knew there was no way I would receive that. (Never once did any of the Staff let me know what was reasonable in all of 6 months) They sent letters and unreal expectations of a settlement. Now, after all of this, and their Staff not communicating with each other- I was asked the same thing over and over or they sent letters I was instructed to disregard- I was offered $1,000 after all fees were paid. Today was the first time I was asked what I would settle for. (I did ask at one point a couple months ago about why we were not looking into the fact his policy actually had a $100,000 limit. They told me truthfully that my case didn’t warrant such a claim. I agreed. But $1,000?????) When I said what I would settle for, $20,000, the negotiator said there was no way. I asked why none of this was discussed earlier on? Her answer, “I’ve been asked that a lot. I will look into it.” This is an ongoing issue? I have never sued anyone before in my 60 years. I now know why I didn’t. The lack of straightforward communication and the sick feeling in my gut that Berg is only in it for their pay off, I probably wouldn’t have gone down this path. That day I lost my paid off car. My neck will never be the same. I was shook up by the accident, etc. Berg needs to be more transparent. Their dealings appear shady. I work in Customer Service, as a Supervisor, for a living with the USPS. Communication and Customer satisfaction is utmost. I am very disappointed. No, I am not looking for free money. I’m looking for a statement to a bad driver that you don’t hit someone, try and leave, lie, and refuse to cooperate. Monetary sometimes is the only way to get your point across. All I asked for from Berg was honesty and the compensation for what I am going through.
