I don’t write many reviews, but I needed to write one about this office. I am from Utah and needed to find an attorney fast in California as I was just served by my daughter’s father for custody. Googling out of state attorneys is so nerve wracking but I came across Pinkham and knew this was the office. I called the office and spoke to a front office person, which passed along my story to Doug. Doug called me that same day!!! I appreciated it so much because I was in full blown stress mode, and I remember ending the phone call with a sense of relief. Without getting into my daughter’s whole life history to protect her and as we would be here for days, my daughter had started refusing to visit her bio dad the year prior for reasons I didn’t know at that time, but I knew something wasn’t right. After advising my daughter’s father to please make arrangements with her therapist to resolve issues, he refused at that time and was bent on forcing her. My daughter was 14 years old at the time of being served. I knew I needed to be her support so I hired Doug, and my hope was with therapy, the truth would unfold and maybe a relationship with her father could exist. Doug went above and beyond with communication and his response time was amazing. He helped create a custody arrangement that gave my daughter a chance to heal with a therapist being the person that says IF and when they should have contact and if/when contact happens, the therapist will be present. The Judge agreed! My daughter is still working through therapy and a lot of shocking details have since emerged, I knew following my instinct was correct. Hiring Doug was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. I would hire Doug again in a heartbeat if there was ever another need. Thank you, Doug, for your support in such a stressful time.
