A long awaited review I debated on writing but at last felt very necessary as my experience costed my case & my money. This law firm put me thousands of dollars in debt $14k in totality & this isn’t considering the “discount” I was given. I would first like to acknowledge how kind & compassionate Jennie Larossa is she does a very good job at making sure you’re understood & holds your hand through this process but unfortunately an attorney is meant to fight for you throughout & advocate in the court of law hence “representation”. By my first court date after hiring this firm I had somehow ran through my retainer of $2k & still owed an additional $3k so a total of $5k & by this point Jennie had only responded to emails from opposing counsel. This was a DVRO/Custody case the odds were against me in court but despite the challenges I kept fighting & wanted Jennie to fight with me. I worked on my own declaration & she charged me $2k to only add 5 out of the 30 pictures I passed along as exhibits. This was not even the worst part about it all what really tarnished me in the end was the fact that she did not represent me in court not once though I begged literally begged she refused & passed me along to her colleague Martha Iturrioz. Oh God she was a nightmare. So by this now I have had all discussions about my case with Jennie but was being represented by Martha though she assured me Martha was in the loop she definitely was not. At my final hearing Martha did a horrible job she was not familiar with my case on our 10 minute recess she spent time looking over documents like a student cramming in info before an exam it was embarrassing. Martha recommended me to purchase all my reports from the professional monitor & have her attend court even though she never utilized her. I had a commissioner judge my case & in the end she looked at Martha & listed all the things she did not do & did poorly. I lost full custody to my son & was another $9k in debt. If you want the best representation to get your children back don’t come here this is the perfect example of the lawyers people talk about that just take your money. My case was a bit tricky & they continued stringing me along when all in all they were not willing to put the work in. It sucks I got bamboozled into giving this firm any of my money let alone $14k. I now had to invest in a new attorney to dig me out of this hole this firm put me in. A waste & a humiliation to be honest. Opposing counsel laughed at how unprepared we were in court. never again. If you have an easier case they’d probably do a semi good job. Please let my experience save you the trouble.
I was going through a very nasty and complicated divorce. I felt alone, hopeless, and defeated. Not only was I harassed, I was up against an alienating parent, who had no desire to act in the best interest of the children. I was referred to Jennie by a friend who had previously retained Jennie and spoke highly of her and the team. After I retained Jennie, I immediate felt the support from her and her office. Every single person I came in contact with was so kind, pleasant, and professional. Jennie’s advice was always geared toward the best interest of her client and children. While in court, Jennie and Martha are both assertive and ethical. Thankfully everything worked out favorably. The fees were straightforward and fair. The customer service was superb. I will ALWAYS recommend Jennie and I still send Jennie updates and pictures of the children.
I retained Jennie as my lawyer after being unable to get anywhere on my own with my divorce. She was knowledgeable, patient, and very easy to work with. She responded to my questions quickly, met when I needed, and best of all was tireless in trying to get responses from my ex-wife who went months without returning even an email trying to move the proceedings forward. I don’t think I could have gotten through the process without Jennie’s help and I certainly would not have gotten as favorable of an outcome. I felt the firm was very fair on fees and always transparent on exactly what was I was being charged and what the charge was for. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone!
