Today I went to Taylor Law Firm and had an appointment with Chris Housan. I had seen him previously, but this case was a lot more difficult and he listened intently to what the problems were ask, what would make me happy to get it resolved turned around pick up the phone spoke with the person and we got both of them put away. They were happy and I certainly was happy. I would highly recommend Chris with Taylor Law Firm and I will certainly use him again if I have the need to I will also refer anybody that needs an attorney to go see Chris
Like others have said on Google reviews and other law websites. Attorney Matt Benson kept saying he would get back with you only to not do so. Worst experience ever. To add insult $1000 was charged for doing nothing and arguably made things worse. I felt helpless and left in the dark, I would not recommend anyone to hire him unless it was the opposition.
Matt Benson is the most inattentive attorney I’ve ever known. He was recommended to me by a friend who had a friend who went to law school with him, and that friend regrets the recommendation. I hired him to hold my ex in contempt for blatantly violating our divorce decree, which he agreed was valid. Meanwhile my ex set me up to hold me in contempt for not listing my house by the date the decree stated. The house was vacant for over three months and I requested to sell it then, but she wouldn’t unless I paid to haul off trash and clean the place, which was her responsibility per the decree, so I declined. The house was abandoned and needed a mere $4K in repairs before it went on the market. He claims he asked for the agreement with the opposition, yet they never responded? But because I was waiting for that, Matt let the time expire and they filed to hold me in contempt for not listing it with the damages on the date agreed upon. His response to their complaint was so elementary and basic. There was a 2 week period where he literally told me every day that he was going to call me yet never did. Then, he finally responded to an email and addressed me as someone else’s name. For $300/hr you get better service than that! The courts asked him for over three weeks to set a court date and he ignore them. Then, after I fired him, he set a date that caused me to cancel a vacation I had planned for 6 months and he wasn’t event going to be there. He then proceeded to charge me over $2K to file the weakest response I mentioned above without ever doing any lawyering. If you choose him, you’re doomed. Probably why this lawn firm didn’t even have him listed as an attorney when I hired him. Shameful to say the least.
