Charged me 3500 dollars and other than showing up to court a few times. He did nothing to better my situation. And when i brought to his attention a true conflict of interest, he did nothing except ask me why i thought that. Now, 5 grand later, with a new lawyer, I’m getting somewhere. I would love to see an itemized statement bc he truly did nothing except take my money and then blew me off when it came to anything I had a concern about. And ultimately lost the case. Couldnt even call me. No empathy or respect for his clients. Sent me a crappy email. Do not use Chris Childers unless u want to lose.
From my experience with Mr. Childers. I saw a lack of effort on his clients behalf. He may practice criminal law, but he was working for the opposition instead of his client. I have to admit the opposition was the criminal. So maybe that part is true. Nothing was handled in the court room. Everything was handled in the judges chambers. He had no interest in anything to demonstrate the morals or characters of the person that his client was going up against. I saw no motivation from him whatsoever. He will tell you when your next court date is. I’m sure if client was told how much that was going to cost her too. If I were to bet on it, I would say nothing will be accomplished for his client at that one either. Don’t waste your money or your time get a public defender or represent yourself. At least you have something invested in what you need done instead of someone who is there just to get paid and hang out in the judges chambers.
So, if you’re looking for an attorney in the shoals, let me NOT recommend Childers law LLC…. made an appt.. showed up early… had no idea who I was or what I needed… no one in the office and still wouldn’t see me… when I said, I made an appt online, his reply was…” I don’t know anything about that”….. this is why people, HATE attorneys. … I mean, you couldn’t even say, ” Hey, don’t see your appt, but we can see what you need”?.. pathetic!
