We lost my grandfather and then my father, who was acting administrator over my grandfathers estate, and we reached out to this firm for assistance. I realize that my case may have been overwhelming trying to close two estates at the same time but this firm was not organized at all. I could talk to five people and get five answers and when I talked with my attorney he always had some excuse as to why something wasn’t being handled- at one point was told of the secretaries personal life problems as an excuse by my attorney. One of the three assistants he had while my case was open. I was offered to have a family member of his purchase something from the estate, which is a conflict of interest, and we did not pursue. I had to, on multiple occasions, return to the office to sign documents that had already been signed or ‘were forgotten’ while I was there. I called and emailed with no responses. I lost an estate home sale because the documents weren’t submitted to the court after 3 months of waiting- I had to call the probate court myself to check on this. When we got a secondary buyer of that property the exact same thing happened again but because I called the probate court myself we caught it in time to get it corrected. I ended up talking with the probate court on more than one occasion to check status because I couldn’t obtain that information from my attorney or was told that we were waiting for the courts approval when in fact the documents hadn’t even been submitted. I asked twice if I needed to seek council elsewhere and was told that it would be handled properly from there on out but it was not. Again, I know my case was a little different but as you can imagine it was a very hard time in my life and all of these issues didn’t help in the slightest. I’m more than grateful that it did finally get resolved and completed but it was NOT easy. I really don’t like even having to post this but I would hope someone would warn me before I made the mistake of having this firms ‘help’ again.
Retained their services for a Title search in June 2024. After multiple phone calls asking for updates and receiving no answers, 5 months later( today, Nov. 19th) I was told they could no longer help us. No reason why but said they would refund our money. Very disappointed because we had our closing with them years ago, which is the reason we chose them for this service.
Never a closing that I don’t love, but closing here is organized, every client is treated like royalty, and no one has ever said they didn’t have everything explained or every question answered!
