Attorney Charles Jones from Bogart, Georgia, is involved in discussions surrounding Title IX and its implications for campus safety. While some may appreciate his focus on due process, many reviews express concern over his perceived bias against victims of sexual assault, suggesting that his advocacy may inadvertently perpetuate a culture that undermines their experiences. Overall, there is a call for more balanced reforms in Georgia schools that prioritize the safety and rights of all students.
If your child gets raped on campus, Charles Jones advocates to end Title IX and make it where they no longer have protections on campus. In Jones’ world, you must go through a lengthy legal battle in an outside court while your child has no protections on campus in the meantime (aka you’ll need to withdraw your child from school and completely interrupt their lives just to keep them safe). He advocates for FACE, a group that supports young men accused of rape and no one else, and consistently mocks and demonizes victims of rape that speak out against his legislation. He pretends to be a fair voice that’s only advocating for due process for everyone but demonizes victims and takes glee when they are hushed and told to “trigger elsewhere.” See through the polite rhetoric. He is biased and works against victims. He should not be in charge of legislation or reforms in our Georgia schools. Title IX needs improvements but not from someone that exudes rape culture.
