This “law firm” is the most unprofessional, and inconsiderate group I have ever worked with. Justin and his “team” seem to only work when it’s convenient for them. This law firm was happy to take my money, and ensure I was in the right hands. (Months later) Turns out nothing was ever done regarding my case. Trying to reach this non-existent office is impossible apparently everyone is always gone for “appointments” or “vacation” the chances of reaching anyone willing to help you seemed impossible. I spent weeks calling every day just to voice my frustration. Finally when Mr. Coquat did answer me he continued to only blame his staff for lack of communication, he had no issues throwing his lead paralegal Melody under buss first by repeatedly saying how she fails at communicating with several clients, and that he was very sorry for her lack of service. After down talking his entire staff he continues to ensure I’d get a refund… when he gets back in town Ofcourse because he’s not here again. Another month of calling after I was told this, and still nothing. If your considering this law firm… just DONT. Unless your up for wasting a whole lot of money and a whole lot of time.
If I could give this law firm negative stars, I would. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. No communication whatsoever from the lawyer after payment was made. I just received a notice from the court that I was found guilty due to not completing payment for deferred adjudication after a January court date where I was apparently represented by this lawyer (without me being present, as he said he would – no problem there). The problem is, this lawyer NEVER INFORMED ME that I needed to do this. In fact, I haven’t heard a peep from his office by phone, email, or regular mail since DECEMBER!
In the past when I’ve used a lawyer or a law firm to handle speeding tickets, I’ve paid less than the ticket amount. At the Coquat law firm I paid more than $200 more than the ticket amount. The end result was probation, I could have achieved by myself.
