In 2010, Handler & Levine (specifically, Mr. Levine) prepared the first set of my estate documents to include a Last Will & Testament and Maryland Healthcare Directive. Cost for all, $1500 — for both myself and my partner. Fast forward to 2023 – to update everything (for me alone): $3000. Mr. Levine met with me personally on 1 May 2023. I signed the documents Thursday. After a couple of emails between Mr. Levine and myself in the fall 2023, my case was turned over to a more junior attorney, without any heads up from Mr. Levine. I signed the 15th version of my Will on Thursday. It is not a complex document – one Home Trust and one Family Trust, just like the first one. Over the course of many months, it was as if my original instructions were lost. Multiple versions did not reflect my directions. Fortunately, the updated package was completed before I move up to Johns Hopkins Hospital next week for a bone marrow transplant. I did not see Mr. Levine last Thursday; however, I believe that he should have had the professional courtesy to notify me that he could no longer personally handle my case, especially given the fee charged.
Worked with Lacey on my estate documents. She and her colleagues were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond what I expected, even going to the lengths of pulling a document from a municipal registrar that I was having trouble getting. I followed up with her two years later to make a small update my docs and she worked on it for us free of charge. Incredibly happy with the level of service provided, and the fees were extremely reasonable.Will recommend to all my friends and colleagues.
