By far, one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an attorney! Now let me first say they were not my attorney they were the attorney for the bank. We had some property that was being sold in the state of Kentucky and there were several parties involved. And I know it was a very complicated transaction. My Husband, who is Deceased along with several other people owned some hunting property. My husband did have a will And in his will, it stated that all his belongings would go to me. The problem came because the Will had not been probated in the state of Indiana. When this law firm found out that it had not been probated, they said I would To probate it. I told them I did not want to probate it. A few days later, I was contacted saying they found a way around probating the will. But at that time, I was not informed what the Solution entailed. I was just told by Bruce that they had found away around the probate. The day before the closing, I was informed that they needed information about my children to be issued at 1099. And I did not understand why because in my husband’s will it clearly stated all his belongings properties, everything he own would go to me. I was told that in the state of Kentucky since I had not probated the Will this money that I was to receive from the property would be split up between me and my Children. When I called to find out why it was handled this way I was informed by Bruce that I needed to take this up with my children. She also said to me “how much money is it anyway”? I told her it didn’t matter if it was just $20. It was the principle of the fact that she never explained what was going to happen when she told me there was a way around, probating it!! She also told me to have a good day and hung up on me OK! I feel like this was a very deceitful practice, and all she cared about was getting it closed for the bank because it had been a long drawn out process , but I should’ve been informed how they were handling it.
They have a great legal team in this office. They are most definitely there to assist in whatever your needs may be!
