Mr. Katz was an attorney for my wife’s workers’ compensation case. My wife had minor injuries due to a traffic accident while working. She was a Montgomery County Public School employee. MCPS is said to be difficult to deal with for any compensation. My wife’s colleague, who was involved in the same accident, hired another lawyer for her case. Because of the well-known difficulties, her lawyer later gave up the case. However, Mr. Katz kept pursuing my wife’s case, and in the process, he kept updating me and my wife with what was going on whenever necessary. The attorney of MCPS decided not to pay the medical bills for my wife’s treatment, except for the first 3 weeks after the accident. But Mr. Katz provided the judge (or commissioner) with the fact that my wife couldn’t have a proper treatment until about 2 weeks after the accident because the insurance adjuster didn’t respond to my wife’s request for approval.
