From the very beginning of our conversations it was agreed that a change of venue was top priority, that never happened, in fact when brought up 4 months into the case, the judge and opposing counsel denied ever seeing the request for a change of venue, nor could a “filed copy” be provided to me. As a result we forced to deal with unresponsive courts 160 miles away. After 2 hearings and responses to a half a dozen statements filed by opposing, that violated formating standards and were filled with dozens of hearsay statements, the judge approved the motion to strike which included financial penalties; however Ms. POWELL failed to file follow up documents ensuring I was compensated accordingly. Initially I paid the requested retainer, we had several conversation regarding the need for additional payment on the balances,, in the end 2 more payments were made. Then the final bill she sent me, was enough to make your head spin, the final balance was almost 4 times the amount of the original balance and 8 times the amount that was verbally said at our last face to face meeting. I’m disgusted with not only the way my case was handled but with the billing practices as well.

This woman is a snake. The only thing she is good for is fostering unfound allegations and giving a theatrical performance in court. She is unreliable and honestly isn’t even that intelligent.

Simply called her for a consult. Not only was she rude she assumed that I knew things that I shouldn’t know. That’s why we hire lawyers. She also gave me advice and she shouldn’t of, had me in tears by the time I got off the phone and was extremely expensive. I don’t deem her worth even a penny to be honest and $5000 seems like an over shot for somebody that literally was rude and assumed that I know new things in a way that was extremely insulting, Not only that but she said she costed five that’s it. And in the beginning she said something about $1000 and then when I was confused when she said 5000 she somehow was condescending and turned it back on me when she was the one that said those two figures What a joke… and I was super disappointed. This is why people hire lawyers we don’t know things that you guys know that’s why we pay you so much money I would Never recommend her and if she was the last lawyer on the earth I would still not hire her. She needs to be more professional and she needs to have a little bit of a better bedside manner no idea how she’s in business.

I hired her in 2017 about July for a standard parenting plan, who then proceeded to do nothing until i knocked on her door that november, furious gonna fire the lady. They assured me they would hop on it and get things done. the following summer around august nothing still has happened except my daughter being taken out of the country. They charged ME to do their job. In which i looked up applicable laws wrote a letter and got my resolution, christmas after spamming her garbage answering service 27 calls i finally got her to answer to which i give her 30 days to do something. Nothing of course was done, by the time March 2019 is over she is fired and i find she charged me $2400+ to do nothing. In addition she thought it necessary to contact my mother to plead for her status as my lawyer. A person she was not authorized to communicate with about my case or her dealings with me. Yes I filed a grievance and no I am not at all done.
