Mr. Richard J Serpe and his firm represented me in the national class action settlement with Taishan Gypsum Co. Ltd. Perhaps it is best described by me as “my Chinese wallboard issue” that I had at my still owned property at the Braemar Creek townhouse complex in Williamsburg, VA.

In 2010, we discovered our home was built with a significant amount of defective Chinese Drywall. To remedy the problem, we had to move out of our home for nearly 8 months to essentially demolish the interior of our house to the studs, then rebuild. Since none of these expenses were covered by our homeowner’s policy, we engaged the law offices of Richard J. Serpe, PC to represent our interests in Virginia law suits and a national class action lawsuit.

My husband and I worked with Richard for the past year and had a wonderful experience. At our first meeting, he did not push us to sign anything or make us feel pressured to choose him as our lawyer; he actually would not let us sign anything and gave us a copy of the contract to read at home before deciding to work with him. My schedule was very busy and we had to relocate soon after starting the legal process.
